Becoming a Member


Club Membership: Prospective members are encouraged to participate in any of our training sessions as a Visitor, for ONE month from their first swim with us. Membership is required after a month as a Visitor. To join the Marlins:


Membership Fees
  • Your application will go to the Committee for approval.
  • Once membership is confirmed, you will receive an email from the Club Registration Officer. This email contains your MSA Membership Number, which is important if you wish to compete, and for accessing results via the MSA Results Portal

    Your email from MSA/MSV may also be printed and shown to the Harold Holt Swim Centre reception staff to obtain the club discount, if you choose to purchase an HHSC membership or swim pass for pool entry.

    Pool Entry: Members are eligible for discounted pool entry and centre memberships at Harold Holt.

    Session Costs: Prospective members can participate in their first coached swim as a guest. Following this complimentary Trial Session and as of the 1st of November 2024, swimmers will need to purchase Swim Passes via the Acuity Scheduling Client booking app or online through a web browser by clicking here to participate in each session.

    First time users will need to register through the system by creating their own username and password within Acuity and those registering the first time online without the app, will need to pay a $3.30 single swim pass before registration. Prospective swimmers can obtain their free swim through the software by selecting 'Trial Session (First Session with Club) – No Cost'. 

    A breakdown of the fees for each swim pass depending on the session and concession card holder status is as follows: 


    • 10 Pass Regular Swim (cost - $33.00) – for most swimmers. The pass allows the
    user to book 10 Regular Swim Sessions.


    • 10 Pass Concession Swim (cost - $22.00) – for Concession Card Holders Only.
    This pass should to be purchased by Concession Card Holders only. The pass
    allows the user to book 10 Regular Swim Sessions


    • 10 Pass Endurance Regular Swim (cost - $20.00) – for most endurance
    swimmers. The pass allows the user to book 10 Endurance Swim Sessions.


    • 10 Pass Endurance Concession Swim (cost - $10.00) – for Concession Card
    Holders only. This pass should to be purchased by Concession Card Holders
    only. The Pass allows the user to 10 Endurance Swim Sessions.


    Alternatively, regular single session swims can be purchased at a cost of $3.30 per swim. There is no ability to buy a concession swim on an individual swim basis. Concession Card Holders will need to purchase the relevant Swim Pass to receive the Concession Discount.

    *It is important to note that members will need to purchase and then redeem their swim pass prior to attending any training session, otherwise the software will be unable to record their attendance.
